Denise Anne McKeown is a Forensic Toxicologist from the University of Glasgow who has over 12 years experience working in the fields of Forensic and Clinical Toxicology. During this time she has pursued her interest in bioanalytics and the steps involved to achieve quality data. Denise specialises in the development and validation of hyphenated chromatographic and mass-spectrometric methods for the qualitative and quantitative detection of drugs, their metabolites and endogenous compounds in a variety of biological and non-biological matrices. Denise has contributed to several peer-reviewed publications and book chapters, and has presented at national and international meetings. Denise is an active member of the International Association of Therapeutic Drug Monitoring and Clinical Toxicology (IATDMCT); Chair of the Young Scientist and Communications Committee’s, and Associate Editor of the Compass (Quarterly Newsletter). Denise is also a member of the Royal Society of Chemistry (RSC), London Toxicology Group (LTG) and The International Association of Forensic Toxicologists (TIAFT).
