Eric J.F. Franssen is hospital pharmacist and clinical pharmacologist/toxicologist. He is also radiopharmacist in the field of nuclear imaging/PET-imaging.

Eric Franssen is the Director of Pharmacy of the Department of Clinical Pharmacy of the “Onze Lieve Vrouwe Gasthuis” (OLVG), a large Teaching Hospital in the Centre of Amsterdam, the Netherlands. He is involved in daily patient care including therapeutic drug monitoring and clinical and forensic toxicology (including post mortem analysis). He is the program director of the hospital pharmacy residency at the OLVG (4 years postdoctoral training program). He teaches clinical pharmacy and clinical toxicology (hospital pharmacists in residence). His research interests include clinical and forensic toxicology, therapeutic drug monitoring in critically ill patients and radiopharmacy. He is the author of over 100 peer reviewed articles, books, book chapters and patents.

Eric Franssen is the chair of the Organizing Committee of the 14th International Conference of the International Association of Therapeutic Drug Monitoring and Clinical Toxicology, October 2015, Rotterdam, the Netherlands.
